Benefits of Membership
Benefits accrue directly to member companies; but equally important are the benefits that accrue to the community and to employers generally through the presence and activities of the Alliance. The value of membership is directly proportional to the time and involvement invested by members in the various Alliance activities and initiatives.
- Belong to, and become a co-leader with, an organization of employers pursuing
policies and programs that will lead to a more efficient, high quality, cost constrained health system.
- Gain representation, and participate as desired, in ongoing dialogues with
hospitals, physicians and health plans.
- Help identify, develop and analyze data that will allow the measurement of
provider efficiency, cost, quality and outcomes, and receive ongoing reports of performance and progress.
- Develop and/or acquire programs of employee education that will reduce health
cost exposure and promote responsible health care decisions.
- Access benefits available through the National Business Coalition on Health.
- To the extent that members choose to join together for group purchasing, cost
benefits may be obtained in such areas as:
§ Pharmacy Benefits Management § Demand and/or Disease Management § PPO § Claims Administration
- Join with other employers in a health care oriented organization that can
represent the employer’s point of view in community organizations and in public policy discussions.
